Open Mindset Project Pilot Program

Get Started

The Open Mindset Project has opened up a limited number of spots for students to participate in its groundbreaking global mentoring pilot program this fall. A select group of colleges and universities have the opportunity to test run an innovative approach to one-on-one career guidance focused on skills needed to compete in the global workforce. If you’re interested, here’s a quick step-by-step to make it happen.

Step 1

If you’re interested, send an email to Open Mindset Project Founder Stacie Berdan Founder@openmindsetproject.org no later than Sept. 15, indicating your interest and the ability to field 10 students by Sept. 19.

Step 2

If you’re one of the institutions chosen, you’ll be sent a brief MOU that details your involvement in the pilot project, to be signed by an authorized representative of the institution and the president of Open Mindset Project.

Step 3

A minimum number of ten students is required to form a cohort from your institution for the pilot mentoring program. The list of students and their institutional emails must be sent to Founder@openmindsetproject.org no later than Monday, September 22.

Step 4

Provide your institutional logo as a participant in the pilot program to Open Mindset Project by Tuesday, September 30.

Step 5

Provide feedback at the close of the semester-long pilot program. Participating students will be prompted to do the same at the close of their mentoring program.

Learn More

In the fall semester 2025, Open Mindset Project is launching a pilot program with approximately 10 institutions of higher learning to pilot its innovative mentoring approach. By the first week of October, the students will have access to the five-module online bootcamp course. After completion of the first module, they will be matched with a Global Guru, a global mentoring professional who aligns with their career goals and academic interests. Each student engages in five virtual mentoring sessions with their Global Guru over the course of the semester. Upon successful completion of the online course and the five mentoring sessions, each student receives an Open Mindset Certificate, demonstrating their growth and readiness in the global marketplace to future employers.

There is no cost to the institution or to the students to participate in this pilot semester. All we ask in return is that an administrator monitoring the students’ progress, and the students themselves, provide feedback to Open Mindset with an evaluation form that is provided at the end of the semester. The logos of all institutions participating in the pilot program are displayed on the Open Mindset website. Open Mindset also intends to use quotes from the institution and the students who partake in the pilot semester to bring an authentic voice to the benefits of the mentoring program for future participants.
